All too often, county and local governments are not in-synch when it comes to addressing. Not only might they
have differing addressing schema, but the addresses assigned at the local level might not be shared with other
entities, causing problems for GIS integrity and mutual aid emergency response. This presentation will show
examples of this problem and a solution for assigning addresses, maintaining centerline data, synchronizing this
data with 9-1-1 databases, and disseminating the updated information to end-users so that all can benefit from
accurate and current data.
